It is not everyday that you get to be part of something special ! March 19, 2016 THE DJ JOE BENE had the honor of working one of the most amazing weddings of my 24 years as a professional wedding disc jockey. Jessica Burzichelli and Sam Maccarone got married after one of the most amazing courtships that started way back in grade school. The event was held at the Crystal Tea Room in Center City Philadelphia and attendant by hundreds of their closest friends and family members.
The day started out for this beautiful couple at a historic church in our small home town. This church is special to the bride, groom, their families and many of their guest. It was only fitting that Jessica and Sam had the ceremony at St. Johns Church in Paulsboro New Jersey.
Jessica was a stunning bride who lite the room up when she walked in. Sam never stopped smiling as he enjoyed the day with his beautiful bride. One of the most amazing aspects of this wedding for me was although we were in Center City Philadelphia this was a hometown wedding. The bride, groom, families and tons of guest all grew up in the same small town in Southern New Jersey. Jessica's father Nick is a long time friend of mine and when you are chosen to be part of an event like this under those circumstances it makes it even more special.
When you DJ weddings for as long as I have you know when you have a special one forming in front of you. As we played music for cocktail hour just outside the main dinning area of the Crystal Tea Room and the guest entered and began to take part in the festivities I knew we were in for an amazing evening. Each and every guest was excited to be at this wedding and you could tell this couple and their families were truly important to everyone in attendance.
When you talk about a wedding like this it is so hard to put in words how truly amazing it was to be a part of and how special you feel to be chosen to be part of it, I do not feel the words thank you are enough. Jessica and Sam are such a great couple! All I can say is it was an honor. DJ Joe Bene
